On July 12th, the China Securities Regulatory Commission and the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission recently held the 16th regular high-level law enforcement cooperation meeting, focusing on discussing measures to strengthen cooperation between the two sides. The two sides conducted in-depth research on how to further strengthen securities law enforcement cooperation in the two places to more effectively crack down on cross-border securities illegal and irregular behavior, protect the legitimate rights and interests of Hong Kong and mainland investors, and consolidate Hong Kong's status as an international financial center.

During the meeting, the two sides actively exchanged views on a number of important issues related to cross-border law enforcement cooperation, in addition to reporting to each other on the focus, trends, and progress of law enforcement work and the results of law enforcement cooperation this year. These include: in-depth discussions on how to strengthen the law enforcement cooperation in cracking down on securities illegal and criminal behavior in the two places to achieve more efficient and comprehensive results; sharing of programs and intelligence notification mechanisms for handling suspicious transaction cases; discussion of the latest trends in manipulating the singing and high-bulk market; and sharing of how to effectively use advanced law enforcement technology to enhance law enforcement effectiveness.
