Gelonghui November 29 丨 Oaks International (02080.HK) An announcement was issued to announce interim results. As of the six months ended September 30, 2019, the company achieved revenue of HK$174 million, an increase of 16.2% over the previous year; profit attributable to the company's owners was HK$18.425 million, an increase of 613% over the previous year; basic profit per share was HK$4.9 cents; no dividends were paid.
The announcement stated that the increase in revenue was mainly due to increased revenue from the property management segment. The relevant revenue increased by about HK$30.4 million from the same period last year to HK$137.2 million during the period. The increase was mainly due to an increase in the number of projects and the total floor area of services. This increase exceeded the decline in revenue from the entertainment segment, which decreased from about HK$6.1 million in the same period last year to HK$36.6 million during the period. The decline in entertainment segment revenue was mainly due to the slowdown in the Hong Kong market since August 2019.
The Group's entertainment division has been affected by the continuous development of trade factors, which has led to the weakening of Hong Kong's luxury retail market. As a result, the Group has closely monitored its strategy in the Entertainment Division and is still evaluating the appropriateness of introducing a new clubhouse brand after Magnum Club closed on August 19, 2019.
Although the Group's entertainment division in Hong Kong is more susceptible to economic fluctuations, the Group's performance in the property management division has remained strong and its performance has shown steady growth.
