Dawn ＜2303＞ announced financial results for the fiscal year ending 2024/5 on the 11th. Sales increased 9.7% from the previous fiscal year to 1.5 billion yen, operating income increased 20.3% to 0.533 billion yen, ordinary profit increased 21.3% to 0.547 billion yen, and net income increased 20.9% to 0.388 billion yen.
In the current fiscal year, the introduction and expansion of systems that realize problem solving for police, fire, local government disaster prevention, and social infrastructure conservation progressed. Above all, the main “NET119 emergency call system” continues to have a population coverage ratio of the competent population of introduced firefighters (ratio of the total number of people under the jurisdiction of introduced firefighters to the total population of Japan) has remained above 70%, and the introduction of “Live-X (video call systems)” is progressing smoothly with the same coverage rate exceeding 30%, and the introduction of “Live-X (video call systems)” applying video reporting technology is also expanding into various industries of private companies. In addition, awareness of “crime prevention applications” has increased, and in addition to expansion of introduction to each prefectural police, efforts have been made to actively propose various systems, such as “disaster prevention applications” where local governments distribute disaster prevention information, “DMACS (disaster information sharing services)” that support information collection at disaster response headquarters, and “Mailio (message distribution service)” that supports timely information transmission related to local government operations, etc.
As sales by item, cloud usage fees increased 6.5% from the same period last year to 0.76 billion yen. In addition to the “NET119 emergency call system,” “Live119 (video call system),” “Live-X (video call system),” and “dMACS (disaster information sharing service),” customer acquisition of smartphone applications etc. for the government and police progressed smoothly, and in addition to continuing existing contracts, the number of contracts accumulated due to the acquisition of new customers.
Contract development sales increased 12.9% from the same period to 0.638 billion yen. Both sales of contract development of geographic information-related systems and sales related to initial construction and function addition of cloud services increased.
Sales of license sales increased 13.1% from the same period to 0.077 billion yen. Orders for licenses for systems related to disaster prevention etc. continued to be received from existing customers, and new orders increased, mainly for fire and disaster prevention.
Product sales increased 18.3% from the same period to 0.024 billion yen. In addition to delivering digital maps, etc. associated with contract development, sales of new municipal projects increased.
As for the full-year earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending 2025/5, we expect sales to increase 5.3% from the previous fiscal year to 1.58 billion yen, operating income to 0.56 billion yen, up 5.1% from the same period, ordinary profit to 0.568 billion yen, an increase of 3.8%, and net income of 0.395 billion yen, up 1.8% from the same period.
