Driven by the news, SoundHound's stock price soared more than 22% on Wednesday, to a record high since May 22. Other AI concept stocks followed suit: Baidu closed up 2.33%, C3.ai closed up nearly 1.8%, Oracle reversed the decline and rose about 1%, and ultra-micro computers rose nearly 0.5%.
At the same time, chip stocks also benefited from the rise. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rose 2.42%, continuing to hit a record high. “Territorial” expansion
According to information, in March of this year, DS Automobiles, a subsidiary of Stellantis, became the first car manufacturer to launch SoundHound Chat AI. SoundHound Chat AI incorporates the latest generative artificial intelligence technology, and DS Automobiles cars have been launched in 18 countries and regions.
Stellantis is one of the four largest car manufacturers in the world and owns many well-known car brands. These brands include Abbas, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroen, Jeep, Lancia, Opel, Peugeot, and Vauxhall.
Now, Stellantis is expanding its investment to brands such as Peugeot, Opel, and Vauxhall to revolutionize the cockpit experience through interactive knowledge discovery, real-time data, and easy in-vehicle controls.
According to a Stellantis press release, cars from these brands can use SoundHound Chat AI starting this month. For some previously released models, the manufacturer will provide it on demand and can be delivered wirelessly without visiting a dealership.
SoundHound said introducing SoundHound Chat AI to Peugeot, Opel and Vauxhall cars marks a new step in the company's mission to revolutionize in-vehicle voice assistants.
According to the company's data, usage of its voice assistants has increased sixfold, DS Automobiles has reported a 50% increase in interaction frequency, a fivefold reduction in unmet requests, and a fivefold increase in net recommendation values based on consumer loyalty, indicating a growing demand for sophisticated artificial intelligence voice assistants by drivers and manufacturers.
What can AI voice assistants do?
It is understood that with the introduction of SoundHound Chat AI in Peugeot, Opel, and Vauxhall, drivers and passengers will now enjoy a wide range of hands-free voice control features. According to reports, ChatGPT's integration with natural speech recognition systems allows users to ask about any topic — from historical facts to creating stories for kids, making the journey both rich and fun. For example, users can ask, “What is the most beautiful route from Paris to Bordeaux?” , “What historical sites are there along the way?” , “How far am I from the first one?” , “How is the weather there now?”
After receiving an answer, users can also directly issue instructions, “Roll down the car window and take me there.” , “Find the nearest electric vehicle charging station.” etc.
