On July 10th, Gelunhui reported that UiPath, an automation software company, submitted a document to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) stating that the company will lay off 10%, or about 420 jobs, as part of a broader restructuring plan. Most of the layoffs will be implemented at the end of the first quarter of the 2026 fiscal year. UiPath expects the cost of the layoffs to be between $15 million and $20 million, and the total cost of the restructuring to be between $17 million and $25 million. UiPath stated that these changes reflect efforts to reshape the organizational structure by streamlining the company's structure, especially in terms of operations and corporate functions, to better prioritize market investments, concentrate research and development investment in artificial intelligence, and drive platform innovation.
