(NASDAQ:TEM), a leader in artificial intelligence and precision medicine, today announced that the company's PurISTSM algorithmic test has received a proprietary laboratory analysis (PLA) code from the American Medical Association (AMA). The new code will be effective on October 1, 2024. The PurISTSM PLA code is the first common procedural terminology (CPT) code created to describe an algorithm-only analysis from previously-sequenced, laboratory developed test (LDT), transcriptomic (RNA) data, representing a meaningful step towards reimbursement for AI-enabled algorithms.
