The TSE Growth Market 250 Index closed at 658.93 (+1.48) with a trading volume of 77.88 million shares traded at 0.1 billion yen.
In today's Growth Market, both the TSE Growth Market Index and the TSE Growth Market 250 Index rose slightly for the fourth consecutive day. The number of rising stocks was 261, the number of falling stocks was 278, and the unchanged number was 46.
In the US market on the 5th, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 39,375.87 (+67.87), and the Nasdaq closed at 18,352.76 (+164.46). After the opening, the market was mixed due to weak job statistics for June. High-tech stocks rose in anticipation of interest rate cuts in September, which led to a decline in interest rates. The Dow initially moved sluggishly due to concerns about economic slowdown, but later turned upward with the support of rising high-tech stocks, and the Nasdaq closed at a record high for the second day in a row.
The TSE Growth Market Index began rising, but quickly turned negative when morning purchases subsided. However, like the Nikkei Average, it did not develop into a widening decline, maintaining a slight negative trend, and recovered to the positive zone in the latter half of the morning session. The market maintained a stable motion for the rest of the afternoon, albeit with some minor fluctuations.
As for individual stocks, Eyes (5242), which rose 24.33%, was the top gainer. It is speculated that short-term funds have turned their interest to the stock. ENECHANGE (4169) also rose sharply, apparently due to the belief that the quarterly report will be submitted by the deadline. Cellseed (7776) continues to show strong growth due to the US patent approval for cartilage cell sheets, and bio stocks such as Stellar Pharma (4888), which showed strong price movements last week, were also in play. Post Prime (198A), the latest IPO, was also in play. Sunbio (4592) and Brightpath (4594) were among the top performers in terms of trading volume. Other gainers included Jake (7073), Solegia (4597), and Cocopelly (4167).
On the other hand, Kaiom (4583), which fell 10.45%, was the top decliner. There were fears of dilution after the announcement of the issuance of subscription rights through third-party allotment. Famprep (4881) was also sold off on the same basis as Kaiom. Yutori (5892) reportedly had disappointing monthly earnings. Among the top decliners in terms of trading volume were Cover (5253) and Elements (5246). Other top decliners included PRISM Bio (206A), Aqua Line (6173), and Beetrend (4020).
In the TSE Growth Market Core Index, Wealthnavi (7342), Seauc (9158), and TKP (3479) rose, while Lawyer Dotcom (6027), Sunwells (9229), and iSpace (9348) fell.
