"AI is still popular, and this year (WAIC), compared to last year, there is a clear sense that AI has entered a diversified application stage." During WAIC, Hu Xiaodong, Vice President of Intelligent Computing Products Business Department of Dawning Information Industry, accepted an interview with the Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily. Hu Xiaodong said that the To B-end application of AI was far from personal life before, and now major manufacturers have participated, and AI is active and has penetrated into various aspects of social life, such as the development of basic education and machine intelligence.

According to Hu Xiaodong, the highlight of Dawning Information Industry's exhibition booth at this year's WAIC includes the overall solution from hardware to software, such as various products including hardware servers and complete machines, covering different application systems from the end side to the center side, and even to the cloud side. At the same time, Dawning Information Industry also brought rich software products this year.

In Hu Xiaodong's opinion, a significant feature of AI application outbreaks is the increase in the number of large AI models and the growth of model parameter quantity, which has led to an increased demand for underlying hardware infrastructure. Huang Renxun, CEO of NVIDIA, once said that the end of AI is photovoltaics and energy storage, which means that we should focus on the development and construction of low-power consumption computing.

Hu Xiaodong also stated that the development of AI infrastructure technology needs to first address the development requirements of low-power consumption computing.

"At this year's WAIC, Dawning Information Industry brought liquid-cooled workstations, liquid-cooled basic servers, liquid-cooled complete machine cabinets, and a complete set of liquid-cooled data center solutions. Through the introduction of new liquid-cooled technology, they can enhance the overall energy utilization efficiency of digital technologies such as AI and develop new green computing infrastructure to provide better computing power and better serve different application platforms within a limited energy range. In addition to hardware facilities, the software ecology of the computing center is also an important link to help the development of large-scale model applications. "Now many AI developers are switching to domestic development environments. Many people are concerned about the problem of migration costs, whether they can migrate to different domestic cards in a short period of time, and whether they can establish stable, efficient, and continuous operation after the business system is migrated."

According to Hu Xiaodong, Dawning Information Industry is also trying to solve such troubles for developers on the platform level, realizing the unified management of different brands of computing cards and resource pools, providing a complete set of software solutions from the underlying hardware and basic software stack to the development center and information tools.

Hu Xiaodong believes that from last year's domestic large-scale model manufacturers breaking through the parameter quantity of the basic model to this year, various large-scale models have reached the stage of deepening their development in various vertical fields. "This has put higher demands on the underlying software and hardware, and for Dawning Information Industry, it needs to provide more upper-level services."
