The completion of the women's dormitory marks a more open learning environment to attract diverse talents.

On July 5th, NYK-TDG MARITIME ACADEMY (NTMA), the commercial maritime university jointly operated by our company and Transnational Diversified Group (TDG) near Manila in the Philippines, held a graduation ceremony for a total of 95 students in the 13th term.
The ceremony welcomed many guests, including Ambassador Kaza Endo of Japan in the Philippines and Sonia Maralit, Director of the Philippine Maritime Industry Authority, and our Board Chairman Hitoshi Nagasawa, Representative Director and President Kiya Soga, and TDG's President Rashid H. Delgado attended and celebrated the graduation. In his congratulatory speech, President Soga encouraged graduates to deepen their skill and intelligence, influence those around them positively, and create a better future with us. He also emphasized the importance of ambitious and forward-thinking personnel in society who can reduce environmental impact through environment-friendly ships and technological development, and the NTMA's responsible role in fostering top-tier personnel to meet such needs. NTMA was opened in 2007 with the aim of training NYK Quality's crew members, and it is celebrating its 17th anniversary this year. It has established its own scholarship system to provide educational opportunities to economically disadvantaged students. It was certified as the first overseas Japanese crew education institution under the institution approval system established by Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in August 2011. Graduates have maintained a high pass rate in the Philippine maritime national exam. The cumulative number of graduates from the first graduating class in September 2011 to the 13th graduating class is 1,551, with many of the graduates actively serving as navigators or engineers on ships operated by our group. In April 2021, the first captain since the school's founding graduated, and in April 2022, the first chief engineer graduated. They also play an important role in safe ship operations on land and are active in our important locations in Japan, Singapore, and Australia.
Our Group will continue to leverage the crew training knowledge gained at NTMA and continue to contribute to the development of Filipino seafarers and the expansion of crew training in major global locations such as Singapore. The total number of graduates from the first graduating class in September 2011 to the 13th graduating class reached 1,551, and many graduates are actively serving as navigators or engineers on ships operated by our Group. The first captain from the school's graduates was born in April 2021 and the first chief engineer was born in April 2022. Overview of NYK-TDG Maritime Academy

Date of opening: June 3, 2007
Scale: Approximately 70 students (enrollment capacity), 70 for the navigation department, and 70 for the engineering department, for a total of approximately 140 students per year.

Location: Kanlurang Marakina, Kalanba City, near Manila (approximately one hour by car from Manila)
