Today's growth market, both the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market Index and the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market 250 Index, continued to rise slightly. The number of rising stocks was 226, and the number of falling stocks was 308, with 50 unchanged.
On July 3rd, the US stock market was mixed. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 39,308.00, down 23.85 points (-0.06%), the Nasdaq Composite Index closed at 18,188.30, up 159.54 points (+0.88%), and the S&P500 closed at 5,537.02, up 28.01 points (+0.51%). At the opening, the labor-related indicators announced in the morning were weak, and the decline in long-term interest rates supported the market. In the short trading session before Independence Day holiday, the market lacked momentum, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell slightly amid a cautious sentiment ahead of the release of the minutes of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting in June and the announcement of the June employment statistics on the 5th. The Nasdaq Composite Index, pushed up by the rise of Tesla and Nvidia, performed strongly and reached a new high.
Continuing to improve investor sentiment and other factors, the growth market started trading with a buying preference. The increase in market capitalization of GENDA <9166>, which has a large market capitalization, also had an impact, and both the Growth Market Index and the Growth 250 Index steadily widened their gains. However, the attention shifted to the prime market, including the Nikkei Average and TOPIX, both of which updated their all-time highs, and the gains narrowed towards the closing bell.
In individual stocks, GENDA set a new high for the eighth consecutive trading day after considering a stock split, and WealthNavi <7342> and SAFE <4375> were bought among the top market capitalization stocks. Among the top gainers were IZU <5242>, Kaihan <3133>, and CS-C <9258>.
On the other hand, Post Prime <198A> and PRISM Bio <206A>, which have been notable for their price movements since their listing, were sold, and among the top market capitalization stocks, Sea You Sea <9158> and Adventure <6030> fell. Among the top losers were ENECHANGE <4169> and Medreks <4586>.
In the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market Core Index, GENDA, WealthNavi, SAFE, and GNI Group <2160> were bought.
