On July 4th, Geek Network reported that Microsoft has updated its support documents, inviting more developers to fully utilize AI capabilities to create high-quality applications for the Windows 11 system. In this support document, Microsoft explains professional terms such as DirectML, ONNX, ORT, NPU, and WinML in simple and easy-to-understand language, as well as discusses topics such as large language models, training machine learning models, inference, ML model fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and hardware acceleration. Microsoft recommends that developers integrate AI models into their applications or launch AI-based applications, such as those that can generate images/videos/audio or automatically complete tedious tasks (responding to messages, generating reports/summaries), etc. Microsoft also issues warnings from the perspective of data privacy and security, encouraging developers to fully disclose the data they collect from users, the security and usage of the data.
