On July 4th, Goron Huinews reported that Amazon will stop producing its safety robot, Astro for Business, which is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises and shift its focus to household robots. Amazon initially launched this household robot, which looks like a canid, in 2021. Astro for Business was launched in November last year, targeting customers in retail, manufacturing, health, and healthcare. An Amazon spokesperson said in an email statement that in order to speed up our progress and ongoing research to make Astro the best household robot, we have decided to stop supporting Astro for Business. This household robot was designed to take on tasks such as home monitoring, setting routines, and reminders, and plays music and TV shows when it rolls around the house. Astro for Business robots are currently priced at $2,349.99 and are only available in the United States, but will no longer be available starting from September 25th.
