There are reports that Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM.US) is preparing to raise prices for its artificial intelligence products using the "3nm" and "5nm" processes by between 5% and 10% starting from January 1st next year, while non-artificial intelligence products will remain at the original price or have an increase of no more than 5%.
Industry insiders say that the price increase is still within a reasonable range, mainly due to the high wafer costs of "3nm" compared to "5nm", which are about 25%, and the above-mentioned increase does not take into account factors such as overall production volume and design architecture.
