It is said that Ford employees can lease a certain number of vehicles, usually one or two, depending on their management level, and can order an additional supplemental vehicle. A company spokesperson said this is the first time that Ford has restricted employee purchases of EVs as part of its supplementary leasing plan. The spokesperson said that by encouraging employees to drive EVs through the optional program, they can experience how easy it is to drive one and better share their experience with friends and family - a key way to increase familiarity with new technology.
