Walmart has negotiated with health insurance providers such as Humana about the possible sale of its financially struggling medical care center business.
According to reports obtained by the Zhitong Finance APP, Walmart (WMT.US) and health insurance provider Humana (HUM.US), among other companies, have negotiated the possible sale of their financially struggling medical care center business. The business includes 51 clinics and a virtual medical component.
In April of this year, Walmart announced the closure of Walmart Health and Walmart Health's virtual medical service, citing a lack of sustainable business models and the challenging reimbursement policy environment and rising operating costs as the reasons behind this decision.
