Ajinomoto Co., Ltd. (President: Taro Fujie, Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) is a Korean seasoning “Cook Do® KOREA!” which is authentic yet makes it easy to make Korean menus suitable for Japanese dining tables has been completely renewed, and sales will begin nationwide from 2024/8/24 (Sat).

As consumers' interest and interest in Korean culture increases along with the popularity of K-pop and Korean dramas, the market size of Korean-related food products in fiscal 2023 is expanding over the medium to long term to about 150% (approximately 29 billion yen scale) compared to fiscal 2018 (see figure on the right), and opportunities to eat Korean menus at home are increasing.
On the other hand, there are voices saying that Korean menus are difficult to incorporate into everyday meals due to the difficulty of preparing seasonings and anxiety about not being able to make delicious food at home (according to our research).
In response to this situation, we re-analyzed the features consumers are looking for in Korean menu seasonings using the Ajinomoto Group's unique psychological value design technology “AJI-eMAP®,” and paid attention to the three points of “authentic taste,” “I can't seem to make it myself,” and “being a side dish that goes well with rice.”

So, now we are “Cook Do® KOREA!” has been completely renewed, and in addition to the 2 types currently on sale, 2 new varieties will be released. Both varieties are carefully selected and blended with seasonings and ingredients necessary for cooking Korean menus, which are difficult to prepare by oneself, and utilize the product design technology and knowledge of “Cook Do®,” which has been cultivated over many years. The packaging expresses the authentic feel of the “CookDo®” brand, describes menu names and flavor features in an easy-to-understand manner, and has been redesigned to match recent trends in Korean culture.

<For tofu jige> package renewal
Based on a rich broth containing beef extract and kimchi sauce, it is a tangy, spicy, and appetizing dish with authentic Korean gochujang. It has been renewed to a package that conveys a sense of authenticity and is easy to pick up.
<For Bulgogi>Quality/Package Renewal
The sweetness of apple puree is added to the base sweet and spicy soy sauce, and the spicy flavor of authentic Korean gochujang is applied to it. The unique ingredients give it a deep flavor that feels like it has been pickled even when not soaked. Also, the recipe has been renewed to increase the intake of vegetables.
<For stir-frying yangnyeom>New varieties
It is a Korean-style sweet and spicy stir-fry base with the natural sweetness of black honey and honey accented with the richness and spiciness of authentic Korean gochujang. With our newly developed proprietary water separation prevention technology (patent pending), we have achieved an amount equivalent to 1.0 g or less of table salt per person.
<For takkarubi>New varieties
It is a takkarubi base that blends the mellow sweetness of fruit and the flavor of flavored vegetables into the deep richness and spiciness of gochujang made in Korea. The spicy flavor is addictive, and you can enjoy it deliciously even if you add cheese to make “cheese takkarubi.”
