The opening was mixed. By industry, marine transportation, insurance, petroleum and coal products, iron and steel, mining, etc. rose, while precision equipment, land transportation, nonferrous metals, electric and gas industries, pulp and paper, etc. fell. As for individual stocks on the Prime Market, 48% rose and 48% fell.

The top contributors to the rise were SoftBank Group <9984>, followed by KDDI <9433>, which raised the Nikkei Average by about 40 yen with two stocks. Meanwhile, the top riser in the Nikkei Average constituent stocks was J Front <3086>, up 14.72%, followed by Takashimaya <8233>, up 11.06%.

On the other hand, the top contributors to the decline were Terumo <4543>, followed by Laser Tech <6920>, which pushed down the Nikkei Average by about 46 yen with two stocks. Furthermore, the top faller in the Nikkei Average constituent stocks was Laser Tech, down 3.99%, followed by Terumo, down 3.96%.
