Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) announced on 2024/7/1 (Monday) the non-profit organization “Open Identity Exchange (OIX)” that works on data standardization, dissemination promotion, and formulation of rules related to the operation of reliable digital IDs*1It was the first Japanese company to join”.

OIX is a community that establishes interoperable and highly reliable digital ID guidance (rules, tools, etc.) with the aim of “a world where identity and qualifications can be proven anywhere using universally trusted IDs.” DNP is a trust framework that OIX is working on by joining OIX this time*2We will obtain the latest information on formulation and international data cooperation, etc., and connect it to social implementation of a global data distribution infrastructure that is interoperable and highly reliable.

[Aim for DNP to join OIX]

Note that OIX was OpenID Foundation (OIDF) in 2010/1*6and Information Card Foundation (ICF)*7It was established by and provided the first trust framework certified by the US government. Board members are Barclays, IAG, Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions, Mastercard, and NatWest Group, and as of 2024/6, it consists of 70 companies and organizations.
