Hanison (00896.HK) announced that for the fiscal year ending 31 March 2024, the group recorded revenue of HKD 1.613 billion, an increase of about 30.8% compared to the previous fiscal year. The increase was mainly due to the construction division. The comprehensive loss attributable to owners of the company was HKD 216 million, while a net loss of HKD 38.4 million was recorded last year. The net loss was mainly due to the rise in interest rates and the downturn in the property market, resulting in an estimated loss of HKD 187 million for investment properties held by the group and joint ventures as well as a reduction of HKD 65.6 million in the development of unsold properties. Basic and diluted losses per share were HKD 0.199 each.
