SBI Holdings Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, Chairman and President: Yoshitaka Kitao) announces that its consolidated subsidiary, SBI Regional Revitalization Support Corporation (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Ken Goto) has decided to acquire shares from Hazuki Farm Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minakami Town, Gunma Prefecture; President and Representative Director: Akemi Katayama) as the fifth case of the "Toho SBI Customer Support Fund", a fund operated by SBI.

This fund, which was announced on October 23, 2020 (※1), was jointly established and operated by SBI Group and Toho Bank, Ltd. ("Toho Bank") to improve the corporate value of businesses by providing financial support through investment, utilizing Toho Bank's resources for core business support, and introducing state-of-the-art technology and know-how using SBI Group's resources, with the aim of contributing to the sustainable development of regional economies.

Hazuki Farm Co., Ltd. has been engaged in cricket farming since the early days of the reptile market, focusing on the future potential of crickets. By emphasizing production technology and maintaining a clean breeding environment, we have been able to achieve stable supply of two types of crickets (Acheta domesticus and Gryllus bimaculatus) throughout the year. It is now recognized by zoos, aquariums, research institutes, and universities nationwide, and also supplies crickets stably with high trust from general customers and professional reptile shops.
As part of its proactive initiative to promote regional revitalization, SBI Group will acquire shares in Hazuki Farm Co., Ltd., which is facing succession issues, through this fund, and support smooth business succession while continuing its business, thereby contributing to the sustainable growth of the regional economy and protecting the employment and trading partners in the region.
