According to the Intelligence Finance APP, Microport continued to decline. As of the time of publication, Siasun Robot&Automation-B (02252) fell 3.04% to HKD 8.92; Microport (00853) fell 3.62% to HKD 5.33; Microport Neuroscience (02172) fell 3.53% to HKD 6.29.

On the news side, Microport Robot recently announced that it has signed a placement agreement with placement agents JPMorgan and China International Capital Corporation for financing of HKD 117 million. The placement price was HKD 9.10, a discount of approximately 14.63% compared to the closing price of HKD 10.66 on June 26. In addition, Microport Robot has recently conducted financing leases with its parent company, Microport Medical, essentially providing low-cost financial support to Microport Robot.

It is worth noting that in April of this year, Microport Medical announced that it had received conditional relief from Hillhouse Capital. According to the agreement, Microport Medical needs to turn losses into profits within three years. The financial report shows that the company achieved revenue of USD 951 million in 2023, a YoY increase of 15.8%; the loss attributable to equity shareholders of the company was USD 478 million, a YoY expansion of 9.4%. A research report from Nomura previously pointed out that the company's short-term situation may improve, but the long-term debt problem remains difficult.
