According to the financial results released by EC Healthcare (02138) for the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2024, the company achieved revenue of HKD 4.211 billion, an increase of 8.7% YoY. However, the net profit dropped to HKD 15.7 million, down 85.3% YoY. The company's earnings per share were a loss of 1.6 HK cents, and the company's shareholders suffered losses of HKD 18.947 million, compared to a profit of HKD 69.654 million in the same period last year.

During the reporting period, the group's after-tax net profit fell by 85.3% YoY to HKD 15.7 million, while the net loss attributable to the company's equity shareholders was HKD 18.9 million. This is mainly due to the lower operating leverage at the newly established service points since the last fiscal year, rising costs caused by inflation, increased depreciation and amortization expenses due to the company's internal expansion in the previous year, an increase in interest expenses due to rising interest rates, and a decrease in subsidies from the Hong Kong government's employment protection program by approximately HKD 43.4 million.
