According to the C&T Finance APP, Boeing (BA.US) stated during a two-day factory visit that the 737Max aircraft body defect problem from supplier Spirit Aerosystems Holdings (SPR.US) has been significantly reduced, and the assembly speed of narrow-body planes in factories near Seattle is also increasing.
In January this year, a 737Max9 aircraft operated by Alaska Air (ALK.US) had a door panel explosion during flight, and since then Boeing has been facing stricter scrutiny from aviation authorities and legislators. This aviation giant has taken measures to reform its safety procedures in order to ultimately increase aircraft production.
In addition, Boeing expressed its hope to acquire Spirit Aerosystems in order to regain control of a key part of its supply chain.
