According to internal media reports, the mainland pure water market is fighting a price war. Nongfu Spring (09633.HK) recently promoted drinking pure water, with 12 bottles of 550ml pure water priced at 9.9 RMB per pack. In some retail channels, the price of Nongfu Spring pure water per pack can be as low as 8.9 RMB, equivalent to about 0.74 RMB per bottle, constantly pushing down the 2 RMB price range maintained by pure water brands such as WaHaHa.

In addition, Dongfang Zhenxuan (01797.HK) recently held a self-operated new brand launch event in Beijing, launching seven new summer products, including mineral water, crayfish, sour plum soup, summer cooling blankets, and T-shirts. This is its first foray into the bottled water market, and the discounted price for 24 bottles of 350ml is 37.87 RMB, while that of 500ml is 45.41 RMB, with delivery to homes costing no more than 2 RMB per bottle.

Nongfu Spring fell 7.9% to a low of 36.9 RMB today (27th), and is now at 37.15 RMB, a decrease of 7.24%, with a turnover of 11.4904 million shares and involving 434 million RMB. Dongfang Zhenxuan is now at 12.8 RMB, up 0.31%, with a turnover of 6.27 million shares and involving 79.8819 million RMB.
