港鐵(00066.HK)七一長周末增加約四百班車 方便市民參與慶祝活動

To facilitate citizens and tourists to participate in the celebration of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, MTR (00066.HK) announced that it will enhance the services of six railway lines during the long weekend from June 29 to July 1, with a total of about 400 additional trips over three days.

The involved trips are additional to the fixed train schedule. For three consecutive days, most hours of the South Island Line will have more frequent trains, with the frequency increased to about 3-6 minutes per train, making it convenient for citizens and tourists to visit attractions such as Ocean Park. The Tung Chung Line will also increase its service frequency to every 6 minutes in the morning of the long weekend. The train schedules of the South and Northbound trains between Lok Ma Chau and Admiralty stations and those between Lok Ma Chau and Sheung Shui stations will be increased during different periods, with the most frequent trains arriving every 8.5 minutes. At certain periods, the Island Line will increase its train frequency from 3.6 minutes per train to 3.1 minutes per train.

Earlier, MTR announced that it will provide riding and shopping discounts on July 1 to celebrate the anniversary of the establishment of the special administrative region, including free rides for children on MTR and free rides on Light rail and MTR buses for q&m dental.
