Tokyo Electric Power Company announced that it will start the seventh discharge of nuclear contaminated water at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station tomorrow (28th), and plans to discharge about 7,800 tons of nuclear contaminated water by July 16. TEPCO and external institutions have tested the concentration of radioactive substances such as tritium in nuclear contaminated water and confirmed that it meets the discharge standards.
TEPCO stated that since August 24th of last year, a total of 6 discharges of nuclear contaminated water have been carried out, involving a total of approximately 47,000 tons, and the tritium concentration of seawater around the nuclear power plant has not shown any abnormalities.
