Alibaba-SW (09988.HK) subsidiary Cainiao and Taobao Tmall, have announced the launch of the "3-day Delivery Zone", promising compensation for late delivery.
It is reported that as of June 27th, more than 26 million products on Taobao's Hong Kong site will provide a "timely commitment to reach" guarantee for direct delivery to Hong Kong. All Taobao products with the "HK X-day Delivery" label can receive a confirmed delivery guarantee by selecting the Cainiao "direct fast transport" logistics method. According to data from Taobao Hong Kong, more than 60% of the "tagged" products can be shipped directly from mainland merchant warehouses to Hong Kong within 3 days, and users do not need to combine orders for shipping.
Alibaba also mentioned that if the order delivery is not completed within the committed timeline, Cainiao will compensate users for cross-border logistics fees in the form of logistics vouchers. (js/w)
