Sakura Internet Inc. (Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, President: Kunihisa Tanaka, hereinafter referred to as Sakura Internet) providing digital infrastructure services, will begin offering container series 'Koka Ryoku DOK (dock)' as the second installment of cloud services for AI generation, ‘Koka Ryoku,' since June 27th, 2024 (Thursday).
Koka Ryoku DOK,'the container cloud service that allows customers to run Docker images that they have prepared in advance using NVIDIA GPUs, will be launched this time. By packaging the operating environment inside the image, you can use the service without spending time on environment construction each time. In addition, the usage charge is calculated by time usage, which leads to cost reduction.
Since 2016, Sakura Internet has been providing GPU cloud services. 'Koka Ryoku,' which was launched in particular in January 2024, is a service that is expected to be used mainly for generating AI such as large-scale language models. We offer the service at the Ishikari Data Center, which we operate using 100% renewable energy sources, achieving zero CO2 emissions while developing AI.
As the first installment of Koka Ryoku, the bare-metal series 'Koka Ryoku PHY,' which has been provided since January 2024, started offering additional maintenance on June 12th, 2024, with the connection interface increased from the conventional 200Gbps to 400Gbps.
In the future, Koka Ryoku plans to expand its services by providing cloud series with higher flexibility in construction and allowing rental on an hourly basis.
Sakura Internet will continue to contribute to the continuous development of the digital society as a digital infrastructure company by securing stable computing resources to respond to the ever-growing demand for AI.

Cloud Play for AI Generation Service 'Koukaryoku'
'Koukaryoku' is a cloud service for AI generation that utilizes high-performance GPUs. This service is provided from the Shikotsu datacenter, which achieves CO2 emissions of zero by using 100% renewable energy. The bare metal series 'Koukaryoku PHY' has been available since January 2024 as the first installment of 'Koukaryoku'.
Sakura Internet believes that ensuring stable supply of computing resources related to generated AI is essential for the development of digital society in Japan, and is advancing the development of this service.
