On June 27th, Glonui reported that demand for AI servers continues to rise, and Taiwan Semiconductor is accelerating the expansion of its CoWoS servers. Equipment manufacturers reported that the current CoWoS supply gap is quite serious. Although equipment factories have been delivering large orders placed earlier this year in recent months, the growth rate of demand has exceeded expectations. Taiwan Semiconductor has placed urgent orders with equipment factories again, and according to previous estimates, the order visibility on hand for Hungshuo, Xinyun, and Junhua alone has reached 2027. It is estimated that by the second half of 2024, Taiwan Semiconductor's CoWoS monthly capacity can be expected to increase from the originally established 32,000 pieces per month to 40,000 pieces per month, and by 2025, monthly capacity will increase to 58,000 pieces per month. Until the opening of the new factory in Jiayi in 2028, the capacity will continue to increase year by year during this period.
