In the United States, in April 2024, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) made its final decision on drinking water regulations regarding PFAS. EPA recognizes granular activated carbon (GAC) as one of the best available techniques for PFAS removal and further expansion of demand for GAC is expected in the future.
