Exhibiting Body Hug Shower at "CareTEX Fukuoka '24"

LIXIL Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as LIXIL), whose domestic water and tile business celebrates its 100th anniversary, will present a new sensation shower "Body Hug Shower" that wraps around the hot water at the specialized exhibition "CareTEX Fukuoka '24", which will be held for two days on July 3 and 4, focusing on nursing equipment and services for elderly facilities.
The Body Hug Shower is a shower that warms the whole body in a short time by gently spraying water from 10 nozzles to wrap around the body. Even those who have difficulty in taking a bath in a bathtub can warm their body thoroughly with just a shower. In addition, since it does not use a bathtub, the risk of falling or drowning in the bathroom can be reduced. It also reduces the burden of bathtub bathing for bath assistance personnel, and contributes to the improvement of productivity in caregiving fields by allowing staff to perform other work while showering.
Regarding introduction, it can be installed in existing bathrooms in as little as 60 minutes and can be used from the next day, without disrupting business and without requiring large-scale construction or initial investment.※1In the case of using it in a private room, it is also one of the attractive features that water charges can be reduced because the amount of water and the time taken to boil the hot water are reduced compared to bathtub use.
According to the 2023 White Paper on Aging Society published by the Cabinet Office, the proportion of people aged 65 and over in the total population will rise to 29%. In view of the shortage of staff in elderly care facilities and in the face of problems such as an aging population, LIXIL provides various products and services to contribute to improved productivity in the caregiving field. Its representative product, the Body Hug Shower, has already been installed in dozens of caregiving facilities since its release in 2022, and has received high praise from residents and staff alike.※2In addition to exhibiting at "CareTEX Fukuoka '24", LIXIL plans to exhibit at the Osaka venue in October, the Nagoya venue in December, and the Tokyo venue in February 2025 at the same event.
