During the development of PET bottle caps, the company had dialogue on ease of use with elderly or handicapped individuals, and people with concerns about muscle strength, and received a lot of feedback regarding how difficult it was to open the cap. This product was developed as one of the solutions to solve this problem, and starting June 27, 2024 (Thursday), it will be available on the website of the Japan Intractable Diseases and Disease Associations (JPA) at list price. In September of the same year, through WelFan Corporation, the product will be available for sale at care and welfare product stores nationwide, and other sales outlets will be expanded sequentially.
The product can be attached to a smartphone, and can be used to open caps anywhere, anytime with light force, regardless of location.

Nippon Closures, which manufactures metal and resin caps, is continually pursuing cap “ease of opening” and developing various products. Through conversations with elderly people, those with issues with their fingers, and those with concerns about their muscle strength, we received many comments that PET bottle caps were “difficult to open or could not be opened”. We developed this product as one of our solutions to solve this problem, under the concept of “making everyday life more comfortable and more smiley”. We hope that many people will enjoy PET bottled drinks with this product.
