Veeko Int'l (01173) released its annual results ending on March 31, 2024, with a turnover of HKD 587 million, a year-on-year increase of 24.14%. Its annual loss was HKD 40.043 million, compared to a profit of HKD 5.027 million in the same period last year; the loss per share was 1.59 Hong Kong cents.

The Group recorded a net loss of HKD 40.043 million (2023: net profit of HKD 5.027 million) after taxes. Due to the increase in bank borrowing rates, the financial expenses for this year increased significantly by HKD 17.569 million compared to the previous year. Reviewing the fair value of investment properties of the Group for the financial year, it increased from HKD 19.881 million in the previous year to HKD 5.324 million in the current year. In addition, the Group did not receive any government subsidies or grants related to the COVID-19 pandemic in the current year, while in the previous year, it received such subsidies and grants of HKD 16.244 million.
