Chen Hsong Hold (00057) has released its annual results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024. The Group earned HKD 2.01 billion in revenue during the period, a decrease of 13.1% year-on-year, and its net profit attributable to its equity holders was HKD 101 million, down 22.59% year-on-year. The basic earnings per share were 16 Hong Kong cents, and the proposed final dividend payout is 5 Hong Kong cents per share.

According to the announcement, the weak internal consumption and overcapacity in mainland China have had extremely negative effects on the group's intention to invest in manufacturing capacity expansion. As a result, the group's performance in the mainland China market has declined by 13% to HKD 1.45 billion (compared to HKD 1.671 billion in 2023).
