Shouxiangu Pharmaceutical (603896.SH) announced that on June 24, 2024, the 2023 National Science and Technology Awards Conference was held in Beijing. The "Key Technology Innovation and Application of the Whole Industrial Chain of Edible and Medicinal Fungi" project led by Jilin Agricultural University and Professor Li Yu, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and jointly completed by Zhejiang Shouxiangu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. as a co-completion unit and Dr. Li Zhenhao, Vice Chairman of Shouxiangu Pharmaceutical as a co-completion person, won the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. This is the third science and technology award the company has won in two consecutive years since it won the first prize of the Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and the China Light Industry Federation Science and Technology Progress Award in 2023. It is also the second time the company has won the National Science and Technology Progress Award since it won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2008.

As one of the main completion units of this project, the company has built an efficient breeding technology of "phenotype + genotype + functional components + activity evaluation", which realizes multidimensional systematic evaluation of new germplasms such as lingzhi in agronomic traits, genetic information, physicochemical properties, functional components and biological activities. Successfully bred excellent new varieties of Ganoderma lucidum series, significantly improved the quality of Ganoderma lucidum and Ganoderma spore powder products, and enhanced the market competitiveness of products.
