Started the 5th term with 43 organizations and 7 individual members
Aiming to create a movement of learning through travel and generate demand
The Council for Travel and Learning, consisting of the ANA Secretariat (ANA Holdings Inc.), board members, participating organizations (corporations, educational institutions, local governments, etc.), and individual members, entered its 5th term on May 1, 2024.*This council aims to verify the benefits of travel scientifically through project planning, research and PR activities, and propose utilization as a new program for 'learning' through travel as part of the next-generation of education.
The 5th term welcomes representative directors, Rieko Komiyama, an associate professor at Tokyo Gakugei University Graduate School, and director of Recruit StudySupli Education AI Research Institute, Taku Samejima, tourism and culture professor at Komazawa Women's University, adviser Ryushi Maeno, a professor of System Design and Management at Keio University Graduate School, and Tsuyoshi Tsuda from ANAHD, as well as a total of 43 groups and seven individual researchers to promote further strengthening of industry-academia-government cooperation and service development.
※What is the Council for Travel and Learning?:
The council was established by ANA Holdings and welcomed four experts (Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University President Masaaki Sato, Tokyo Gakugei University Graduate School associate professor and director of Recruit StudySupli Education AI Research Institute Rieko Komiyama, Keio University Graduate School of System Design and Management professor Ryushi Maeno, and tourism and culture professor at Komazawa Women's University Taku Samejima) in June 2020. It aims to scientifically verify the benefits of travel from the perspectives of educational technology, happiness studies, and tourism studies, and proposes effective utilization of travel as a next-generation methodology for school and adult education.
