On the news front, Vitasoy int'l recently released its annual results as of the end of March this year, with revenue of HKD 6.217 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 2%; net income of HKD 116 million, a year-on-year increase of 154.5%; and earnings per share of 10.9 HK cents. The final dividend is 6.3 HK cents, together with an interim dividend of 1.4 HK cents per share, for a total dividend of 7.7 HK cents per share for the year, compared with a total dividend of 2.7 HK cents per share for the previous fiscal year. During the reporting period, compared with the overall performance of the Chinese market, Vitasoy int'l underperformed in the international market, with revenue from Australia and New Zealand totaling HKD 530 million and a loss of over HKD 80 million.
According to the Macquarie research report, Vitasoy is expected to achieve a 6% increase in organic sales growth in the second half of fiscal year 2024, compared with a 3% decline in the first half of the fiscal year. This is believed to be mainly due to the improvement in the mainland business and the strong performance of the Hong Kong business, which will help offset the negative impact of the New Zealand business. Vitasoy International is rated as "outperforming the market." Based on the latest performance and macroeconomic outlook, net profit forecasts for fiscal years 2025 and 2026 have been lowered by 8.8% and 9.6%, respectively, and the target price has been lowered from HKD 10.5 to HKD 9.5.
