小学生向け夏休み限定ワークショップ 「なつやすみメゾンラボ」をMaison KOSÉ銀座で開催 ~ビューティとサイエンスに触れるコーセーならではのワークショップで次世代をサポート~

KOSE Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Kazutoshi Kobayashi) will hold a workshop “Natsuyasumi Maison Lab” at the directly managed store “Maison KOSÉ Ginza” operated by the group company KOSÉ Provisioning Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Taizo Meio) from 2024/7/20 (Sat) to 8/23 (Fri). The workshop course can be selected from 3 types: “cosmetics,” “facial cleansing,” and “sunburn,” providing children with an opportunity to experience beauty and science.

In our medium- to long-term vision “VISION2026,” we have set “3G,” which takes the respective initials of global (global), gender (gender), and generation (generation), as an expansion area for new customer development, and are strengthening efforts to provide products and services that are close to more customers regardless of gender or age. As part of this, we have been working on activities to support the next generation through the power of beauty, such as opening a “beauty studio” pavilion at the children's occupational and social experience facility “Kidzania Tokyo,” implementing skincare classes for children to nurture healthy skin, and conducting educational activities on UV protection for students who often work outdoors on a daily basis.

This initiative focuses on “summer vacation free research,” which both children and parents tend to worry about, such as research themes and implementation methods. In addition to being closely involved with science such as chemistry, biology, and pharmacy, research and development of cosmetics is a field with strong relationships with natural environments such as ultraviolet rays and sensitivities that nurture diversity, and is highly compatible with free research that engages in exploration close to daily life. By holding workshops on beauty and science, we thought it would be possible to support the next generation unique to cosmetics companies, so we decided to hold the event. Also, at “Maison KOSÉ Ginza,” we are promoting efforts to provide new value typical of KOSÉ, and by carrying out this workshop, we will provide children who will lead the next generation with the fun and excitement of cosmetics research from a scientific perspective and the fun and excitement of beauty.

■Contents
After experiencing the research course, each person creates a “Natsu Lab Newspaper” where they fill in the content on the spot. What you learned and felt that day can be compiled into a newspaper on the spot and taken home.

① “Let's have fun playing with cosmetics! Fan coloring experience”
After touching various makeup cosmetics such as eyeshadow and blush, and experiencing their feel and color, the favorite cosmetics are upcycled into paint on the spot, and the fan is colored.

② “Let's learn the importance of cleansing your face! Chewy bubble experience”
This is an experience where you can touch on the importance of “foam” through facial cleansing (cleansing care) that you do casually on a daily basis. We will learn about the characteristics of “foam” and the necessity of whipping, and give a lecture on how to make “fine chewy foam” that is gentle on the skin.

③ “Let's have fun learning! Sunscreen Research”
This is an experience where you can learn about the importance of protecting your skin from ultraviolet rays and the mechanism by which sunscreens prevent ultraviolet rays through experiments.
