On June 24th, GE Longhui reported that Rastar Group (300043.SZ) announced that its controlling subsidiary, REIAL CLUB DEPORTIU ESPANYOL DE BARCELONA, S.A.D. (hereinafter referred to as 'Espanyol' or 'Club'), has completed all matches of the 2023-24 Spanish Football League 2nd Division (hereinafter referred to as 'Segunda Division') and the promotion playoffs.
After the 42 rounds of matches in the 2023-24 Segunda Division, Espanyol finally ranked fourth in the Segunda Division points table and obtained the qualification to participate in the promotion playoffs. On June 24th Beijing time, Espanyol won the final promotion playoff match against their opponents. According to the relevant promotion and relegation rules of the Spanish Football League, Espanyol has successfully been promoted to the Spanish Football League 1st Division (hereinafter referred to as 'La Liga'), and will participate in the matches of La Liga next season.
According to the relevant regulations of the Union of European Football Associations, the union will distribute 50% of the total revenue of the La Liga television broadcast rights evenly among 20 teams, and the other 50% will be allocated based on broadcast times, rankings, box office and membership indicators. Espanyol's promotion to La Liga will bring a significant increase in television broadcast revenue for the club next season (from July 2024 to June 2025), and is expected to receive no less than 43.7 million euros in broadcast rights revenue (excluding value-added tax).
