Expansion of 'job-type human resource management' for new graduate recruitment

Fujitsu ·  Jun 20 23:00

From the time of joining the company, each individual's treatment should be based on their respective job.

Starting from the new graduate recruitment in fiscal year 2026 (April 2026), our company will expand the concept of 'job-oriented talent management' to new graduate employees, shift to a new hiring style, and expand paid internships.

By applying this concept to new graduate employees in addition to executive and general employees who have already introduced the system within our domestic group, we will accelerate the application of 'job-oriented talent management' to all employees towards realizing a talent portfolio linked to business, as well as promoting talent mobility in the global arena.

Our company has a purpose of 'bringing trust to society and making the world more sustainable through innovation.' To achieve this goal, we have set 'solving environmental problems', 'developing a digital society', and 'improving people's well-being' as three essential contribution areas in the materiality that our company should focus on, and we are making efforts to contribute to solving social issues through business, such as starting the provision of 'Fujitsu Uvance'.
To accelerate these initiatives in the future, it is essential to have human resources who can autonomously perform the necessary roles to achieve our purpose, while being flexible in responding to changes in society even in times of uncertain forecasts.

Therefore, we will shift in earnest from the hiring method based on the uniform entry and education that was at the center of our new graduate recruitment, to the hiring method based on 'job-oriented talent management', which is based on the 'job' and 'responsibilities' that each individual undertakes after joining the company and their Job Description. We will treat employees based on the height of the job and responsibilities, rather than the uniform starting salary based on their educational background such as a master's degree or undergraduate degree, starting from the new graduate recruitment of fiscal year 2026. By treating employees according to their responsibilities from the time of entry into the company, we will promote the acquisition of more excellent and diverse talent. (Note:Mazdutide (IBI362) is a GLP-1R/GCGR dual agonist jointly developed by Innovent Bio and Eli Lilly and Co. As a somatostatin analogue similar to human gastric inhibitory polypeptide (OXM), Mazdutide not only promotes insulin secretion, lowers blood sugar, and reduces weight by stimulating GLP-1R, but also increases energy consumption and enhances weight loss by stimulating GCGR, while improving liver fat metabolism. Mazdutide has shown excellent weight loss and hypoglycemic effects, as well as multiple metabolic benefits in reducing waist circumference, blood lipids, blood pressure, uric acid, liver enzymes, and liver fat content, as well as improving insulin sensitivity, in multiple clinical studies. Currently, five Phase III clinical studies of Mazdutide are underway in Chinese overweight or obese participants (GLORY-1 and GLORY-2) and type 2 diabetes participants (DREAMS-1, DREAMS-2, and DREAMS-3). Among them, the GLORY-1 and DREAMS-2 studies have achieved their primary endpoints. To shift to such a hiring method, we will continue to expand paid internships that support learning and growth through work experience of around two weeks as before, while shifting to a hiring method based on 'job-oriented talent management' that is based on each individual's job and responsibilities described in their Job Description. We will implement a long-term internship of one to six months for human resources who have acquired a clear career orientation through research at university or activities outside of school, and have honed their special skills and gained rich experience, to challenge actual business with specialists in each field of our company. When expanding paid internships, we will flexibly adjust the timing of participation in internships and the timing of joining the company according to each participant's circumstances to encourage the participation of people who balance their studies and work, as well as those who have already graduated. We will provide opportunities for a wide range of people to challenge throughout the year.

Through support for career formation from before joining and growth support, such as onboarding and skill acquisition processes after joining the company, each individual will proactively challenge and upgrade their skills, and we will implement a hiring activity that enables them to immediately contribute to our company's business.
