Expiration of concession contracts and beginning of the transition period at Hidroeléctrica Los Nihuiles S.A. (HINISA)
Buenos Aires, June 4, 2024. Pampa Energía S.A. ('Pampa' or the 'Company'; NYSE: PAM; ByMA: PAMP) announces that a 12-month transition period has been set for the concessions of HINISA, in which Pampa holds 52.04% of the share capital.
HINISA holds a concession granted by the Province of Mendoza for the assets and use of the hydric resource and another granted by the National Government for power generation. Both concessions were set to expire on June 1, 2024.
In this sense, on May 27, 2024, the Government of the Province of Mendoza issued Decree No. 1,021, setting a 12-month transition period from the expiration date of the hydroelectric use concession of the Atuel River waters and other assets belonging to the Province. The Undersecretary of Energy and Mining of the Ministry of Energy and Environment was appointed as an observer. Additionally, Res. SE No. 83/24 sets a 12-month transition period for which HINISA will continue managing the hydroelectric complex, with Energía Argentina SA (ENARSA) appointed observer.
Consequently, the new expiration date of the concessions will be May 31, 2025.
