The China Passenger Vehicle Market Information Joint Conference released a report showing that the market remained moderately heated in early June, and various manufacturers took advantage of the Dragon Boat Festival holiday and the "618" e-commerce promotion to actively carry out various sales and marketing activities to impact their semi-annual goals. However, the price of cars continued to fall, and the overall market competition intensified. The latest survey results show that the leading manufacturers, whose retail sales account for about 80% of the total market, had flat or slightly increased retail targets in June compared to the previous month.
Preliminary estimates show that the total retail market for narrow passenger vehicles in June was approximately 1.75 million vehicles, an increase of 2.3% month-on-month. New energy vehicle manufacturers are relatively optimistic, with an expected 860,000 new energy vehicle retail sales in June, a month-on-month increase of 6.9%, and an expected penetration rate that will reach a new high of 49.1%.
