| Background of this initiative

On Tuesday, October 10, 2023, Sumitomo Mitsui Net Bank established THEMIX Green, a strategic subsidiary to promote the Carbon Credit Business and Forestry/Forest Management DX Business, with the aim of maximizing forest value and reducing environmental impact through the creation and distribution of carbon credits from forest sources using the J-Credit System, and achieving DX in the forest supply chain.

In order to promote this initiative, THEMIX Green and Sumitomo Mitsui Net Bank have formed business alliances with Maply and Salesforce, respectively, to jointly promote the digital platform business of forestry and forest administration DX and carbon credit issuance by integrating their respective services and know-how.
