Temix Green Co., Ltd. (Headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director and President: Tomoyuki Naoumi, hereinafter referred to as 'THEMIX Green') hereby announces that it has signed an agreement with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Net Bank, Ltd. (Headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director and President (CEO): Houshou Maruyama, hereinafter referred to as 'Sumitomo Mitsui Net Bank'), Mapley Co., Ltd. (Headquartered in Tanba City, Hyogo Prefecture, Representative Director: Keiji Yamaguchi, hereinafter referred to as 'Maply'), and Salesforce.com Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President: Shinichi Koide, hereinafter referred to as 'Salesforce'), to promote the utilization of the J-Credit System (*) and sign the agreement with Mie Prefecture (hereinafter referred to as 'this Agreement').
| Background of this initiative
On Tuesday, October 10, 2023, Sumitomo Mitsui Net Bank established THEMIX Green, a strategic subsidiary to promote the Carbon Credit Business and Forestry/Forest Management DX Business, with the aim of maximizing forest value and reducing environmental impact through the creation and distribution of carbon credits from forest sources using the J-Credit System, and achieving DX in the forest supply chain.
In order to promote this initiative, THEMIX Green and Sumitomo Mitsui Net Bank have formed business alliances with Maply and Salesforce, respectively, to jointly promote the digital platform business of forestry and forest administration DX and carbon credit issuance by integrating their respective services and know-how.

The four companies have agreed to cooperate and cooperate with Mie Prefecture on the following matters:
(1) Verification of business schemes for creating and selling J-Credits
(2) DX of forestry to promote the creation of J-Credits
| Future developments
Through this initiative, THEMIX Green and Sumitomo Mitsui Net Bank will aim to promote the DX of forestry and forest administration and the construction of new business schemes in Mie Prefecture.
In addition, we will collaborate with other local governments and consider establishing business models for the Carbon Credit Business and Forestry DX Business as well as creating credits other than forest sources and establishing carbon offset methodologies.
