At Interop Tokyo 2024 held at Makuhari Messe from 6/12 (Wednesday) to 14 (Friday), we and Infinera (Infinera) demonstrated Japan's first multi-site storage service via the ROADM*² network using the “FTU9100” centralized Ethernet switch for the metro under development and Infinera's “ICE-X coherent communication transceiver*¹” controlled by FTU9100 at Interop Tokyo 2024 held at Makuhari Messe from 6/12 (Wednesday) to 14 (Friday) *³, It won the Grand Prix in the Best of Show Award “ShowNet Contributor Division*³,” which determines the “one product of the year.”

*1 ICE-X coherent communication transceiver
An optical coherent transceiver manufactured by Infinera. An optical coherent transceiver is a transmission and reception component that mainly realizes coherent communication, which is long-distance, high-speed optical communication. Communication data can be propagated for each wavelength of light, and the amount of communication per optical fiber can be increased.
*2 ROADM (Reconfigure Optical Add/Drop Multiplexer) network
The ROADM network is a network that realizes high-capacity, long-distance transmission composed of ROADM devices. ROADM devices have wavelength multiplexing functions that collectively transmit multiple optical signals with different wavelengths, and an optical amplification function that enhances light weakened by long-distance transmission.
