TOPPAN Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President: Masanori Saito; hereafter TOPPAN), a group company of TOPPAN Holdings, and TOPPAN Edge Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Hideki Soeda; hereafter TOPPAN Edge) will exhibit at the “4th Local Government DX Exhibition” (venue: Tokyo Big Sight) to be held from 6/26 (Wednesday) to 28 (Friday).
The Local Government DX Exhibition is an exhibition where services such as “DX human resource support,” “various work efficiency improvements,” and “security” aimed at digitalizing local government operations meet in one place. This time, TOPPAN and TOPPAN Edge will jointly exhibit and introduce examples and solutions that supported solutions to social issues in various fields such as “administrative affairs agency,” “Individual Number Card utilization,” and “tourism promotion” at the TOPPAN/TOPPAN Edge booth (West Hall 1, booth number 3-6).
Also, at the West Hall 1 special venue, a seminar on the theme “In order for planning and general affairs departments, competent departments, and the private sector to cooperate to tackle administrative reform in a future where there is a shortage of local government staff” will be held with the person in charge of Setagaya Ward, which concluded an administrative DX partnership agreement with TOPPAN in 2022/12.
Main Exhibits
Local government DX support projects promoted by the TOPPAN Group are divided into more than 10 categories, with actual cases, and introduced in a wide range of ways.
・Administrative affairs agency/electronic notification
In order to reduce the workload of staff and optimize human resources for core work, I will introduce examples of establishing and operating administrative affairs centers utilizing the know-how of the TOPPAN Group's BPO service “Hybrid-BPO” for local governments, which combines digital technology and analog technology, and using the electronic transmission service “Speed Letter Plus” for notifications.
・Use an Individual Number Card
We will introduce demonstration cases where payment using an Individual Number Card was made possible by cooperating with local transportation operators in Tateyama City and Minamiboso City in Chiba Prefecture and introducing dedicated reader terminals to buses operating within the demonstration area.
・Digital human resource development training
I will introduce an example of digital human resource development training using the business video self-service “PIP-Maker,” which can convert and distribute videos of PowerPoint materials, and even manage viewing logs.
・Tourism promotion
I will introduce examples of developing and operating support for excursion base facilities and development of digital cultural property content in order to convey the appeal of regional resources such as cultural properties and lead to attracting customers to the region and revitalizing consumption.
・Services for residents
In order to expand points of contact between local governments and residents and improve the quality of transmitted information, I will introduce an example of constructing a local government portal application using the local government portal service “Classiracell,” which can unify information using the information dissemination support tool “Con: tegration,” and disseminate information according to the interests of each resident.
