NTT DATA Corporation (hereafter: NTT DATA) will hold an IT experience class “NTT DATA ACADEMIA” online for 2 days on 2024/7/27 (Sat) and 28 (Sun) for elementary school 1st to 6th graders.
NTT DATA Group companies across Japan aim to be close to children by providing a place to learn about the fun of programming and the mechanisms of IT, conveying the joy of shaping their own ideas through IT, and fostering children's intrinsic growth and inquisitive mind.
This time, you will experience programming using pictures related to summer, such as fireworks and ice, using the visual programming language “Viscuit (biscuit)” provided by Digital Pocket LLC. Anyone can easily operate it, so even those new to programming can participate with peace of mind.
In addition, they are divided into small groups so that children with no programming experience can enjoy it, and instructors will support them. At the end of the event, there will also be time to watch videos introducing IT services used in everyday life so that people can feel more familiar with programming.

We plan to have 36 students per class (7 classes each day, a total of 504 students for all dates).

In “Viscuit (biscuit),” programs are created using only a mechanism called “glasses” without entering characters. Since you can easily create animations, games, etc. with pictures drawn by yourself, you can create your own programming works.

• Internet environment
• A computer, tablet, smartphone, etc. for Zoom
• A tablet or computer for “Viscuit (biscuits)” (tablets are recommended)

• * Although it is possible to use both the biscuit operation and the Zoom display on one computer, it is recommended to prepare separate terminals as this may cause misoperation or confusion.
