China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation announced that the first gas-fired power project in which its natural gas subsidiary participates officially started construction yesterday (18th).
The project was undertaken by the joint venture company Guoneng (Zhejiang Anji) Power Generation Co., Ltd., which will build two sets of 9H-class gas-steam combined cycle generators. The construction of the units will be divided into two phases, with plans to start operation in November and December next year, with a total installed capacity of 1.634 million kWh and an annual gas consumption of about 1.2 billion cubic meters at full load. It can generate 7 billion kWh of electricity and is expected to be the largest and most efficient gas turbine project in the world. It is also the group's first participation in a gas-fired power generation project, which is believed to help further expand its natural gas power generation business and play a demonstration and leading role.
