Apple Introduces 'Help Me Choose' Quiz To Help Customers In Choosing The Perfect Mac

To assist potential customers in selecting the most suitable Mac for their needs, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has introduced a new "Help Me Choose" quiz on its website.

What Happened: The quiz, added to Apple's website earlier this week, guides users through a series of questions to determine the best Mac for their needs and budget.

Users are asked about the intended use of the Mac, the location where it will be used, and the accessories that will be used with it. They can specify if they use their Mac for work, school, entertainment, or hobbies.

For each category, the quiz presents follow-up questions to gather more specific information about the computer's intended use.

Questions also cover peripherals and device portability, allowing users to specify the types of accessories they plan to use with their Mac and where they intend to use the device. The quiz also offers different budget options, ranging from $1000 to over $3500.

Once all the questions are answered, Apple's algorithms suggest the ideal Mac computer for the user. I was suggested a 15-inch MacBook Air with M3 chip, 8 GB memory, and 512 GB SSD.

For students, the quiz is likely to recommend MacBook Air models or high-end MacBook Pro configurations for users who require a computer capable of handling processor-intensive tasks, according to AppleInsider.

Why It Matters: In March earlier this year, Apple launched 13- and 15-inch MacBook Air models, powered by the advanced M3 chip. The M3 chip is said to be 60% faster than the M1 chip and up to 13 times faster than the fastest Intel-based MacBook Air. The laptops also feature a faster and more efficient Neural Engine.

At the launch event, Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, said, "MacBook Air is our most popular and loved Mac, and today it gets even better with the M3 chip and new capabilities."

The starting price for the 13-inch MacBook Air is $1,099, while the 15-inch model begins at $1,299.
