Fisco Japan ·  Jun 19 11:33

The number of gains and falls of the Nikkei average constituent stocks at the time of closing 19 days ago was 1 stock unchanged, 146 stocks with price increases and 78 stocks with price drops.

The Nikkei Average continues to rise. The front-end transaction was closed at 38707.21 yen (estimated volume of 680 million shares), which was 225.10 yen higher (+ 0.58%) compared to the previous day.

The US stock market continued to rise on the 18th. The Dow average closed at 38834.86 dollars, which was 56.76 dollars higher (+0.15%), the NASDAQ was 17862.23, which was 5.21 points higher (+0.03%), and the S&P 500 closed at 5487.03, which was 13.80 points higher (+0.25%). It rose after the May retail sales results came close to the view that interest rate cuts would justify interest rate cuts. At the same time, concerns about the economy spread, and market growth was sluggish. In high-tech, profit-taking sales from near record highs were also conspicuous, but the decline in long-term interest rates supported it, and the market remained steady throughout the day. The NASDAQ closed after hitting a record high for 7 consecutive business days.

Taking advantage of rising US stocks, the Tokyo market began trading with a buying advantage. The Nikkei Average rose to 38797.97 yen after getting close, and it looks like it has almost regained its sharp decline at the beginning of the week. After a round of buying, Tokyo Electron <8035> moved in the negative zone compared to the previous day, so the Nikkei Average also became heavier, and the front market was closed at the 25th moving average level. There was little business, and the trading price on the Prime Market remained at 1.6 trillion yen.

Among stocks adopted by the Nikkei Average, Mitsubishi Motors (7211) rose drastically due to reports that shareholder returns for the fiscal year ended 25/3 would be expanded, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (7011) received positive report announcements from securities companies and had a buying advantage, breaking year-to-date highs. In addition, Apple-related businesses such as Nitto Denko <6988>, TDK <6762>, and Taiyo Yuden <6976> continue to be strong.

Meanwhile, in addition to Tokyo Electron stalling, semiconductor stocks are being expensive, as screen HD <7735> and Socionext <6526> widened their decline. Other than this, there isn't even an inbound-related corner such as Shiseido <4911>, Isetan Mitsukoshi <3099>, and Keisei Electric Railway <9009>. Shipping stocks such as MOL <9104>, Kawasaki Kisen <9107>, and NYK Line (9101) also had a sales advantage.

By industry, insurance, banking, transportation equipment, machinery, and other financial industries rose, while shipping, retail, petroleum and coal products, pulp/paper, precision instruments, etc. declined.

The top contributor to price increases became SoftBank G <9984>, which boosted the Nikkei Average by about 57 yen with 1 stock. Advantest <6857> came in the same 2nd place, followed by TDK <6762>, Nitteden <6988>, Recruit HD <6098>, Fast Rite <9983>, Daikin <6367>, etc.

Meanwhile, the top contributor to price drops became ToElec <8035>, which pushed down the Nikkei Average by about 17 yen with 1 stock. The same 2nd place was KDDI <9433>, followed by trend <4704>, FANUC <6954>, Shiseido <4911>, Olympus <7733>, screen HD <7735>, etc.
