当地时间6月18日，随着最后一车回填材料填筑在坝体顶部，标志着该大坝主体建设的基本完成。
肯尼亚水务、环境卫生和灌溉部长在项目现场考察时表示，这一项目将对当地水资源状况产生积极影响。
